Port Dickson (PD) is the answer when you want sand and sea but only have a weekend and don't want a long drive. Under 90 minutes from KL — closer than Melaka — it's the go-to for families and last-minute escapes. The beaches aren't the country's best, but the water is calm, resorts are affordable, and the sunsets over the Straits are genuinely lovely.

It flexes nicely: do a quick day trip when you just need sand and seafood, or make it an overnight to actually switch off. Either way, this is a relax weekend, not a sightseeing marathon.
