How much does it cost to fill up in Malaysia?
The cost of a full tank depends on two things: your tank size and the fuel you use. Most Malaysian cars have a tank between 35 and 50 litres. At the subsidised Budi95 RON95 price of RM1.99 per litre, a 40-litre fill costs around RM80 — far less than it would at the unsubsidised market rate, which is what you pay once your monthly quota runs out.
Subsidised vs market price
Under the Budi95 scheme, registered Malaysian vehicle owners get RON95 at RM1.99/L up to a monthly quota. Above that quota you pay the market price, which floats weekly. The amounts above use the subsidised price since that's what most drivers pay day to day — open any amount to compare it against RON97, RON100 (Petron Blaze 100) and diesel.
