MyFuelCost (malaysiafuelcost.com) is a free Malaysia fuel price tracker and trip cost calculator. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used. By using the site you agree to the practices described below.

This site uses cookies set by third-party services below. We do not set any first-party tracking cookies. The only value stored locally in your browser is your language preference (mfc_lang), which stays on your device.

3. Third-Party Services

• Google Analytics 4 — page analytics. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy.
• Google AdSense — advertising network. Google may use cookies to serve interest-based ads.
• Photon / Nominatim (self-hosted) — address autocomplete for the trip calculator. Queries are processed on our own server and not shared with any third party.
• OSRM (self-hosted) — route distance calculation. Route data is processed on our server and not stored.
• Resend — transactional email service used to forward feedback messages to the site owner. No marketing emails are sent.

4. Feedback Form

When you submit the feedback form you may optionally enter a car make/model and a free-text message. No email address is collected. Submissions are stored in a private database and emailed to the site owner for review. They are used solely to improve the car database and fix bugs.

5. Data Retention

• Analytics data is retained as per Google Analytics' default retention settings (2 years).
• Feedback submissions are retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
• Fuel price data is public information sourced from the Malaysian Government (data.gov.my) and is retained for historical charting.

6. Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA Malaysia)

This site complies with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). The limited personal data we process (voluntary feedback messages) is collected only for the purpose stated and is not sold or shared with third parties except as described in this policy.

Your rights under PDPA:

• Right to access — you may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to correction — you may request that inaccurate personal data be corrected.
• Right to withdraw consent — you may withdraw consent for us to process your personal data at any time.
• Right to limit processing — you may request that we stop using your personal data for direct marketing purposes (we do not conduct direct marketing).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the feedback form and mention "PDPA Request" in your message. We will respond within 21 days as required by the Act.

Note: Third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) operate under their own privacy frameworks. Data transferred to Google's servers may be stored outside Malaysia. Google is certified under applicable data transfer frameworks — see Google's Privacy Policy.

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
