RON100 Price Malaysia

RON100 is high-octane performance petrol. In Malaysia it is sold only as Petron Blaze 100 at selected Petron stations — no other brand currently offers RON100. Unlike RON95 and RON97, RON100 has a fixed retail price set by Petron rather than the weekly managed float, so it does not change every Thursday.

Where to buy RON100

RON100 (Petron Blaze 100) is carried by only a limited number of Petron stations — historically around 40+, concentrated in the Klang Valley and Johor. Most ordinary Petron stations do not stock it, so search for a Blaze 100 station near you before driving out.

Frequently asked questions

How much is RON100 in Malaysia?

The current Petron Blaze 100 (RON100) price is shown above. It is a fixed brand price set by Petron rather than the weekly government float, so always confirm the exact figure at the pump.

Where can I buy RON100?

RON100 is sold only as Petron Blaze 100 at selected Petron stations — not every Petron station carries it, and no other brand (Shell, Petronas, BHPetrol, Caltex) offers RON100. BHPetrol's highest grade is Infiniti RON97.

Does my car need RON100?

RON100 is aimed at high-performance and tuned engines. Most everyday cars run perfectly on RON95 or RON97; check your owner's manual.

What is RON100?

RON100 is the highest-octane petrol available at Malaysian pumps. With a research octane number of 100, it resists engine knock far better than RON95 or RON97, which is what high-performance and tuned engines need when running high boost or aggressive ignition timing. In Malaysia it is sold under a single brand — Petron Blaze 100 — and no other retailer (Shell, Petronas, BHPetrol or Caltex) currently offers a RON100 product. BHPetrol's highest grade, for comparison, is Infiniti RON97.

Why the price doesn't change weekly

Unlike RON95, RON97 and diesel, RON100 is not part of the government's weekly Automatic Pricing Mechanism. It is a commercial premium product, so Petron sets its retail price directly. In practice that means the RON100 price stays the same for long stretches and does not reset every Thursday — but it is also not guaranteed by the government ceiling, so always confirm the exact figure at the pump. The price shown here is a reference based on Petron's published pricing.

Does your car need RON100?

For the vast majority of cars on Malaysian roads, the honest answer is no. RON100 is aimed at performance vehicles, modified engines, and drivers who want the highest available octane for spirited or track driving. An everyday car designed for RON95 will not go faster or use noticeably less fuel on RON100 — it simply doesn't have the compression ratio or ignition tuning to convert the extra octane into useful work. Check your owner's manual: if it recommends RON95 or RON97, that is the fuel your engine was built for.

Where to find RON100

Only a limited number of Petron stations stock Blaze 100 — historically concentrated around the Klang Valley and Johor — so it is not something you'll find at every Petron forecourt. If you drive a car that genuinely benefits from it, it's worth locating your nearest Blaze 100 station in advance rather than assuming any Petron will carry it. See the "Where to buy RON100" section above for a station finder.

RON100 vs RON97 vs RON95

RON95 is the subsidised everyday fuel most drivers use; RON97 is the floating premium grade for higher-compression engines; RON100 sits at the top for performance applications.
